Rev Daniel Poon
How many times do we often look down at ourselves and think, I can’t do it I’m no good at it. Or when you try to achieve a goal but you find yourself being too stressed, tired and worn out at the end of it. Today Pastor Daniel Poon shared with us a wonderful and fruitful message. We look at the scripture Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” When Apostle Paul wrote this, he was actually in the prison! So how could he do anything? Pastor Daniel shared that being able to do all things is not simply about ‘doing’, but the ‘being’ of our identity as the Heavenly Royals in any situations, good or bad.
God wants us to know that He has a plan for our lives. When we try to do everything on our own we burn out because we rely on own our strengths. But Jesus wants to help us He wants to take our problems from us he wants to give us rest. In Matthew 11:28, we see Jesus calling for those who are weary and burdened, faith allows us to believe we can do all things through Christ and when we accept and believe this we begin to live in the presence of God. God can do all things but He doesn’t want to do it on His own He wants us to go through the process with Him.
