Rev Daniel Poon
Enter into the inheritance is a process, there’s no short cut, and today Rev Daniel taught us a few tips to go through this process, which requires patience and determination.
In Ephesians 1:7 it says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Only through Jesus Christ we can receive true grace. Grace helps us to turn back from our mistakes, because when we receive grace, we are restored.
We often bring out past into our current decisions or decision for the future. However the time is changing so our methods and ways of living should also be changing. We should not be limited by this world because in our Lord there is unlimited potential. When we enter the door of grace, the Lord will come to help us and restore us.
1. Restore
a) Restore the Hunger for Spiritual Things – when God restores us He will also restore our hunger for the Spirit; we should step out from the past and recreate history, not following the history.
b) Restore the Serving Heart for the Ministry – when we focus in the Kingdom of God, He will return us the things we have lost, as it says in Joel 2:25, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you.”
2. Breakthrough
God wants us to think bigger, do greater, and be better. In Hebrews 10:35-37, “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For,’In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.'”
a) Do not lose Confidence – we need to know that the promise will surely come without delay
b) Persevere – when we know the promise is coming, we will be able to wait a little longer
c) Wait Patiently – be patient and do not complain until the promise comes true
3. Harvest
“Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.” (Zechariah 10:1)
When we receive blessings, we should ask God to continue preparing the seeds, so we can experience harvest in the next Spring time. The door of grace is right in front of us, so open the door, enter it and enjoy the process!
