God is Love

Sunday, 28th January 2018

Rev Daniel Poon

Every morning we wake up, check weather forecast, and plan our day and future. There are times predication are failed because only God knows what is happening in future. Only He knows what is best for us.

Ezekiel 37:11-14, “Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.”

1. Open the Grave

hen we are dead we are buried in the graves and nothing will happen to a dead person. We are dead inside and we do not know who we are. Our hopes are dead, but God has given us the promise to open our grave, to bring us to life. When we humble ourselves, miracles will happen. We are not hopeless because God wants to release us from our grave. We are not dead anymore. God is working with us. Are we willing to come out from our grave and partnership with God’s work?

2. Put a Spirit in Us

In Acts 2:17, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” We live not by the Spirit but by our own body and soul. Problems may arise. We can study and work hard, but no need to be under pressure. Our job is to manage the world, not to be managed by this world. But when God puts His Spirit in us, we don’t need to worry, because we know His plan is good for us.

3. Settle Us in Our Own Land

God will settle us in our own land, He has prepared a piece of land for each one of His children. There will be new opportunities in this New Year, so we should forget the past. Let the past stays in past. We need to partnership with God. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. “They are for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Trust in the Lord and walk in faith with His plans. Because He is the one only who knows what is best for us.
