How to Dream with God

Sunday, 25 February 2018

Rev Daniel Poon

Since the beginning of 2018, Rev Daniel has been sharing the importance of dreaming with God. If we base our faith upon our feelings or desires then our dreams will never going to come true! Rev Daniel shared with us some points of how to dream with God.

1. Never Let Faith Fade

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

During Abraham’s life, he didn’t see the promise God gave to him come true, but it doesn’t mean that God’s promise is not real.

“Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.” (Romans 4:19)

2. Never Stop Praying

“Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.” (Daniel 6:10)

Daniel never stopped praying, even after the king’s decree about no one should pray except for to the king, Daniel was still faithful to the Lord and continue to pray three times a day. Rev Daniel taught us how we should pray.

i. To pray with God’s Word – when we don’t know what to pray, we should take a Bible and use the promises written in the Bible to pray, to claim our promises from God.

ii. To pray in Tongue – “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” (Romans 8:26)

Pastor Bill Graham said, “No matter how dark and hopeless a situation we are in, never stop praying.” When we pray, God is at work, and supernatural things will happen in the spiritual realm. God can do the impossible!

3. Never Give Up

The founder of KFC, Colonel Sanders, retired at the age 65, and he was given a retirement cheque of $105USD. He didn’t give up on his dreams, and used this money to start a new business by selling fried chicken cooked with a special secret recipe. He walked around for customers and was rejected 1009 times before he had his first customer.

KFC is now so well-known worldwide, and a successful business, because Colonel Sanders didn’t give up trying.

In the same way, we should also never give up on seeking to dream with God, the promises are coming true, and only those who persevere to the end will be able to see it.
