Section One V1-5 The Prosperity from God
Hebron is a place to gather and unite. The Bible record of David’s strength from God is not how powerful his troops are, but that his wife gave birth to many children for him. In 7 years in Hebron, God gave him 6 children. Our children are our inheritance. From this we can see God’s blessing to David’s family.
Section Two V6-16 The Defeat of Saul’s Household
The power on Saul’s side was supported by Abner. When we rely on the support of people, people will rise up and rebel. Although Abner was a marshal fighting for Ishbosheth, he reigned in front of Ishbosheth, and after having sex with Saul’s concubine, he scolded Ishbosheth. Are we as leaders afraid of the people below who dare not speak the truth or exercise authority? Although Saul had been gathering capable people when he was alive, these people just looked at what they could gain. Once Saul passed away, they would leave for greater good.
Section Three V17-39 Winning of the Wicked
Ishbosheth tried to persuade him to keep his throne, but he did not see that they could get the throne because of the grace of God. The other two people mentioned in this paragraph, Abner and Joab, seem to be loyal, but they are actually wicked in God’s eyes. Abner changed his mind often. Joab was the child of David’s sister. Although he was a family, he did not respect his uncle David, the king anointed by God.
Ask God to help us see true prosperity and defeat. David was in Hebron for more than 7 years, because he still had many problems to deal with in his life, and he had to be prepared by God to become the king of all Israel. From the records of these people we have talked about today, we can see what kind of life is full of wickedness. When the wickedness comes in, we are full of crises because we are not walking in the light of God’s truth. We must believe that we are able to get here today, not by ourselves, but by relying solely on God. Let us humble ourselves, give glory and praise to God, and not be afraid of people or their power.

强盛与衰弱
本章一开始讲到“扫罗家和大卫家争战许久”。大卫之前一直都没有用自己的势力来回应扫罗的追杀。扫罗死后，他们两个下面的人才开始彼此争战 – 就是约押和押尼珥。
一、v.1-5 从神而来的强盛
希伯伦是招聚、联合的地方。圣经所记载的大卫从神而来的强盛并不是他手下的兵力有多厉害，而是他的妻子为他生了许多孩子。在希伯伦的7年，神给了他6个小孩。儿女是我们的产业，由此可看到神对大卫家庭的祝福。
二、v.6-16 扫罗家日渐衰败
扫罗这边的势力是从押尼珥的的拥戴来的。当我们是倚靠人的拥戴时，人就会自己起来作王。押尼珥虽然是一个元帅，为伊施波设争战，但他在伊施波设面前却作王，与扫罗的嫔妃同房后，还把伊施波设骂得狗血淋头。我们作为领袖是否害怕下面的人而不敢说真话或行使权柄？扫罗在世时虽然一直都在召聚有能力的人，但这些人只是看着自己能得什么好处，一旦扫罗离世，他们就会为了更大的利益而离开。
V12-13 押尼珥想靠着自己的势力跟大卫立约，但这次大卫却没有寻求神的心意，反而愿意跟这样一个出卖主人的小人立约。他过去打胜仗都不是靠其他人，但现在他想靠押尼珥帮他带来以色列的归顺。这样的心态就像“病毒”一样进入到大卫里面，影响他之后的生命。
V14 大卫看到伊施波设那边已经人去楼空，就更加壮胆，派人去伊施波设那边要求将自己以前的妻子带回来。大卫想用自己的权力来压制别人，将本来已经归给别人的米甲抢回来。他自己曾经也是被人抢走妻子，如今却不能推己及人，我们要学的应当是主所教导的“爱人如己”。
V15-16 大卫抢人妻子是从这时就开始了，源于他里面的不饶恕。我们心里是否有这些“病毒”而我们却不自知？这些病毒若在一开始没有被处理，之后的发展就会严重侵蚀我们的生命，带出很多问题。
三、v.17-39 小人得胜
伊施波设委曲求全，想要保住自己的王位，却没有看到他们能得到王位是因为耶和华神的恩典。而这一段讲到的另两个人押尼珥和约押看似忠心，其实都是小人。押尼珥见风使舵，约押是大卫姐姐所生的孩子，虽是一家人，却没有尊重神所膏立的王、他的舅舅大卫。
V24 约押跟他的权柄大卫说话的时候“没大没小”，因他心里诡诈。
V27 押尼珥之前是在战场时候杀了亚撒黑，所以不算犯了十诫；然而约押用欺骗的手段私下召回押尼珥，在押尼珥手无寸、铁毫无防备的情况下把他杀死，这才是犯了谋杀的罪。
V28-29 大卫没有因此去教导约押。他虽然有权柄，却没有运用这个权柄来帮助下面的人。
V38-39 大卫在这里跟下面的人所传递的信息就是“谁有能力谁做主”。他以为这样就能与押尼珥的死这件事划清界限，他做了很多的事情让人看到他不是那个谋杀的人。但是圣经说，我们是靠耶和华神为我们伸冤，并且神也教导我们祷告的时候要到密室里，而不是故意显露在人前去得人给的荣耀。大卫所做的就好像彼拉多在给耶稣判刑前试图洗手表明无辜一样。我们若害怕人说的话而不能专心在我们权柄交代给我们的任务时，我们所做的一切都是白费力气。我们的神是万军之耶和华，所以我们不要害怕得罪人，只要刚强壮胆去做神让我们去做的事。
求神帮助我们能看到真正的强盛和衰败。大卫在希伯伦7年多，因为自己的生命还是有很多问题需要处理，要被神预备好才能成为全以色列的王。我们从今天所讲到这几个人的记载看到什么样的生命是充满病毒的，当病毒进来的时候，我们充满危机，因为没有走在神的真理真光中。要相信，我们能够走到如今，不是靠自己，都是单单倚靠神。让我们谦卑自己，将荣耀颂赞归给神，不去害怕人或他们的权势。
*追求：
我们来到神面前，靠着圣灵光照看到我们真实的生命。我们是否害怕得罪人而没有讲真理，把我们有的权柄丢在一边？我们没有活出真光。我们惧怕人不喜欢我们，我们惧怕孤单，惧怕没有办法 得到神的应许而跟人妥协。求神饶恕我们，没有做好一个忠心又良善的仆人，没有做好一个权柄。求神拿走我们里面的捆绑和病毒！
主耶稣，谢谢你的真光，让我们不要走进那个“小人”的、神你不喜悦的生命里，而是成为多子的乐母，多结果子，有刚强壮胆的心，凡事不是倚靠人而是倚靠神!奉耶稣基督的名祷告，阿们！
