Section One V1-7 God will Intervene
V1 ‘Come near, you nations, to hear; and heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world and all things that come forth from it.’ This is the end times, God wants to talk to us, those who believe in Him. The Book of Isaiah is written for the people of Judah, who are the people of God. We are the people of God; therefore, it’s talking to us, teaching us how to live everyday in this world. We can be so easily intimated by the people and environment; we rely on ourselves, we follow the ways of world, and we don’t see God. We often misinterpret God, we thought God is opening the doors for us so we can go, but the truth is, as the followers and people of God, we must wait for God’s timing.
God’s way is never the easy way from the perspective of the world because we must walk by faith, follow God instead of following the world. God will always prepare, but can we wait upon His timing? The world will try everything for us to walk away from God, it will make us think that the smooth path is the way of God, but the more we walk into the world, the harder we can get out of it. V2 ‘For the indignation of the Lord is against all nations, and His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter.’ Our Jehovah God will intervene, He will not wait anymore, He has been preparing and He will act now.
V5-6 ‘For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; indeed, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment. The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is made overflowing with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams. for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.’ God hears our every prayer and God remembers every offering. Because of what we have offered, His sword is bathed in heaven and His judgement is coming. In 2020, nobody would imagine the impact of COVID to the world; we can never predict when God’s judgement will come, we are born with a prideful attitude, and we can easily forget God’s Word and Principles. Therefore, today we must listen and see God will intervene.
Section Two V8-15 God will Judge
V8 ‘For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, the year of recompense for the cause of Zion.’ God will teach us and deal with our pridefulness; He can rise up a nation and He can also destroy a nation. We must stop staying in our own comfort zone, stop walking in our own rebellious ways, but stay alert and wait for God’s timing. In the waiting, we must change our ways, let our lives reflect the life of Jesus, and when people see our change, they will also change and see the God in our lives.
V11-12 ‘But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it, also the owl and the raven shall dwell in it. And He shall stretch out over it the line of confusion and the stones of emptiness. They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all its princes shall be nothing.’ No matter what ways we seek, everything will end up in emptiness. There is nothing in this world that cat help us in the day of judgement. We are the ones being called, our feet are in the temple of God, but where are our hearts? Do not let our hearts stay in the world, do not be lured by the world’s wealth, comfort, entertainment, lustful things… but to rise up for God, to fish for people, and to disciple the nation.
The things of the world will end up in emptiness, we must fill our lives with the Word of God, so there will be no opportunity for the voice of the world to come in. We never know what will happen tomorrow, the environment may change, people may fail, money may be lost, and fame may fade. Do not follow the world, because it only leads to a dead end. God’s judgement will come, He is awakening the Christians to fulfil the Great Commission, and we must follow this wave.
Section Three V16-17 God will Fulfil His Words
V16 ‘Search from the book of the Lord, and read: Not one of these shall fail; not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.’ Everything God says in the Bible will come to past, He will act, He will gather us, and He will bring His judgement to the world. Do we know that we are different from the people of the world? Do we know that we are the ones being called? Do we know that we are being set apart?
V17 ‘He has cast the lot for them, and His hand has divided it among them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever; from generation to generation they shall dwell in it.’ We have received the vision of the satellite network, where is our network? God will use us in our family, our workplace, our school, our community, our city, our nation… do not be afraid, but follow God’s path and His principles, He will divide the land for us as inheritance of generations.
