Section One V1-4 Receive God’s Vision
What is the Principle of God? It comes from the Word of God, it’s everlasting and unchanging. A lot of times when people tell us they hear God talking to them or they see God opening the ways for them, we must go back to the Principle of God, and seek confirmation from the Word of God. When the Israelites were in Egypt, they received the vision of Moses, even though it had been a long time since they heard from God, but when they heard Moses, they were committed to his vision, and bind to the vision.
V1-2 ‘The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the excellency of our God.’ Do we see the glory of God in our lives? Do we receive the same vision as our leaders of our church? God has given us this vision to become a network satellite church, so have we received this vision? To extend our network, so the wilderness and the wasteland can be glad; and the desert rejoice? God wants us and the people around us to see His glory.
In Psalm 149:9, it says, ‘To execute on them the written judgment—This honour have all His saints. Praise the Lord!’ This is the glory of God, when we see the glory, we will no longer be afraid of the judgement of God, because in the judgement, we will be set apart and we will be full of glory and honour. We must see this glory in our lives because God has already glorified in our lives. When God gave us authority and status, we must bind it and be committed in it.
V3-4 ‘Strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.’ In the vision of the network satellite church, we are to strength the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees through the Word of God. God is rising us up to be leaders and shepherds, it’s not about solving problems for others, we also have problems in our own lives, but it’s about redirecting our attention to God. The more we see God, the less we will see our problems, and the quicker God will come to deliver and rescue us. God will strengthen us first, to walk out of Egypt, and to enter the promised land.
Section Two V5-10 Believe God will Prepare
V5 ‘Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.’ When we receive the vision, we should not stay in the same place and wait for other to do something, but to believe that God will prepare, and be alert in God’s timing. When the time comes, we must walk out boldly. Because if we always sit there without stepping out then we cannot see the Red Sea open, we cannot cross the Jordan River.
V6-7 ‘Then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water; in the habitation of jackals, where each lay, there shall be grass with reeds and rushes.’ When the time comes, when we step out, when God intervene, then we will see all the miracles happen in our lives. Our church focus on following the flow from above, we must let the vision flows through us from above, to the people we serve. Do not stop the flow, but to let it continue nourishing the land.
V8 ‘A highway shall be there, and a road, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall not go astray.’ The highway will be opened for us, and this way is the same way David talked about in Psalm 84:5-7 ‘Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.’ We will walk the path to Zion, to the Temple of God, and to the Promise Land. Those who are unwilling to repent and follow God cannot come to this path. We thought we may be fools, but when we believe and follow, God will not let us go astray.
V9-10 ‘No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; it shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there, and the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.’ This highway will lead to joy and gladness, God has already opened this way for us, there may be sorrow and sighing along the way, but they will soon flee, when we don’t give up on this way, at the end, it will be the Glory of God, which last forever.
