Psalm 135 – The Life that Shines

Praise also means to shine, but how can we live a life that shines? We are alive to praise God and to shine for God. How can we shine for God in this dark world? There are many things in life that try to put us down, our family, our work, our finance, our health… many thanks that stop us arise and shine. We feel like we are in darkness for a long time, we must know God loves us, and in this dark time we must shine for God.
Section One V1-3 To Praise and Worship Jehovah in His House 要在神的殿中讚美歌頌耶和華
What is our attitude when we come to the house of God and to praise God? God is good, He wants us to praise Him. The Bible tells us clearly to praise the by standing in the House of God. Only when we stand in the House of God then our praises can be full of strength. Of course we can still praise God no matter where we are, but how easy it is for us to come to the House of God?
It’s getting harder and harder for us to come to the House of God. We may think it’s ok to watch the sermon online, but can we really focus on the Word of God when we are not in the House of God? God wants us to come to His House and to praise His Name. When we are willing to come to the House of God, we show God how serious we are about Him.
It’s not a religious ritual but an attitude, to put God first, then the people, and then the earth. This is the House of God, the dwelling place of God, many things stop us to come near to God. We might say it’s too hard to physically come to the House of God, but when we attend online, do we have the fear and trembling?
Let us set the time apart for God, receive Him wholeheartedly, and we can have a life that shines.
Section Two V4-14 To Remember Jehovah Who Performs Miracles 要紀念獨行奇事的耶和華
We call ourselves Christians but so often we refuse the share the Gospel to others, we feel ashamed to tell people what we believe in, and we don’t live out a good testimony for God. God does wonderful things, He wants to bless us, not to punish us. So why are we afraid? Why can’t we tell people we are Christians?
People come against us, they judge us, they attack us, but God is a God Who performs miracles, He can let us arise and shine for Him. God wants us to give mercy to those who wronged us, just like how He had forgiven us. God is merciful, He will use His ways to bless us and to set us free. But on the other hand, when we use our own ways to deal with our problems instead of surrendering to Him, then we make ourselves gods.
We must rely on God only, and remember He is a God who performs miracles in all the impossible things in our lives!
Section Three V15-21 To Set Apart to Praise Jehovah 要分別為聖讚美耶和華
God gave us strength, we are full of power and authority, Jesus has overcome the world, and therefore we don’t need to be afraid. Are we using these powers form God or are we relying on ourselves and on this world? We are the ones serving God, we are the royal priests and a holy nation, we are to praise God’s Name not our own names.
God wants to open His Holy Temple for His people to come and praise Him. Those Were captured will be set free, God will talk to us, His great revival is coming, we must change our attitude, to start praising God, to remember God’s miracles, and to shine for God. Don’t give up, because the Light of God is here.
诗篇 135 – 一个发光的生命

“赞美”的原文就是“发光”。现实生活中有很多东西打击我们，让我们无法兴起发光。今天的经文教导我们如何在看似没有出路的黑暗中活出一个发光的生命。
一、v. 1-3 要在神的殿中赞美歌颂耶和华
我们在神的殿中是怎样的光景？当来到教会、来到神的家时，我们的心态如何？圣经清楚说“你们要赞美耶和华”，且”站在耶和华殿中…赞美他”。我们虽然也能在家中或任何地方敬拜神，特别是现在透过网络也很容易与教会连线，但其实能够排除万难来到教会是不容易的。经文说我们要“站在我们神殿院中”，唯有在神的殿中，我们的赞美才是真的有力量的。神要的不是宗教行动，而是看重我们对他全心的摆上，看重我们重视耶和华神的殿，是以一颗敬畏的心来与神相遇。当我们参加聚会的时候，哪怕是在线上，也要分别为圣，以敬畏神的心来到他面前。
二、v.4-14 要记念独行奇事的耶和华
V4 神在万民中拣选我们，“特作自己的子民”。我们能够信耶稣，不是羞愧，而是极大的恩宠，所以我们要珍惜神给我们这个特别的身份。
V8-12 神在列国中独行奇事，不是诅咒，而是为要祝福我们。我们为什么还要害怕告诉别人我们是基督徒，为什么害怕传福音，为什么怕那些反对我们的人呢？神必会独行奇事，让我们能兴起发光！
V13-14 “后悔”的原文就是怜恤。很多时候我们会被别人冤枉，但神会为我们伸冤、表怜恤，所以我们不需要用自己的方法去解决问题或夺得自由，不然我们就看我们自己为神了。当我们愿意放手、降服，不再需要靠人靠世界，而是让神做神的时候，神就会独行奇事！
三、v.15-21 要分别为圣赞美耶和华
V15-18 有时候我们看见那些没信主的人生活似乎过得很好，但他们靠自己的手做出来的东西都会过去。我们若倚靠这些“人手所造的”，最后反而变得没有能力。耶稣说他已经胜过这个世界了，我们跟从他，就不需要害怕。神给我们的是能力，可以在地上捆绑和释放。
V19-20 我们是被拣选的“以色列家”，服事神的人就是“亚伦家”、“利未家”，我们都要敬畏、称颂耶和华。耶和华的名是大有力量的！
V21 从“锡安”-我们的教会、我们的家、神的殿，神的名要被称颂！神的复兴要来到，神要祝福锡安，所以我们下垂的手要再次举起，不要被世界上的事打败，不要成为逃避的人，而是扎根在神的家中，分别为圣、刚强壮胆，兴起发光。一个发光的生命从赞美神开始，让我们不要放弃，因为耶和华的光已经来到！
