Rev Daniel Poon
“The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.” (Genesis 13:14-15)
“But a man dies and is laid low; he breathes his last and is no more. As the water of a lake dries up or a riverbed becomes parched and dry, so he lies down and does not rise; till the heavens are no more, people will not awake or be roused from their sleep.” (Job: 14:10-12 )
New Zealand is a new land. We live here.
1 TO HAVE POSITIVE THINKING
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverb: 4:23 )
We need to always guard our heart, and have a positive attitude towards everything, because God can bring us to places we can never imagined, and we can do bigger things than what we can ever thought of. Rev Daniel reminded us that we may be in an unfavorable situation right now, no matter if it’s at work, at school, in family, in health or in finance… Jesus can take us through it! Rev Daniel shared that when he prophesy, he won’t worry if whatever he prophesied will happen or not, as long as he does what God asks him to do, he take the first step and the rest is up to God.
“if you can? Said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23 )
Therefore we should never stop praying for the sick, because God has given us the authority to pray for the sick and to cast out the demons. In God, nothing is impossible! “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
2 TO HAVE BRIGHT DREAMS
“And afterwards, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.” (Joel 2:28 )
As Christians we need to dream big! God has given us the creativity to dream and to believe in the better future He has prepared for us! “In whom he believed- the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.” (Romans 4:17 )
God asked Moses to lead his people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. We all know that Moses faced challenges but he was determined to follow God’s calling. The dreams God has put inside of Moses kept him going and not giving up. God gave us dreams but He also give us choices, for us to choose if we want to follow Him or not. The journey may be difficult but God has promised us that He will be with us no matter what. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24 )
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrew 11:1 ) The 66 Books in the Bible is like the GPS for our lives, they navigate our journey so we will not be lost. We just need to have faith in Him and believe that every step He guides us is for our own good.
“In whom he believed the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”(Romans 4:17 )We have the authority to dream colorful dreams, we have authority to make a difference in our future. The old has gone and new hope, blessings and anointing are here. When we don’t have God we are surrounded by uncertainty and impossibility. God knows our weakness and He has given us the secret key – the Powerful Name of Jesus!
