II Chronicles 20:1-4
It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon, and others with them besides the Ammonites, came to battle against Jehoshaphat. Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar” (which is En Gedi). And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
II Chronicles 20:13-22
Now all Judah, with their little ones, their wives, and their children, stood before the Lord. Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly. And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.16 Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.
Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high. So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: “Praise the Lord, For His mercy endures forever.” Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated

反败为胜

我们从媒体报道中会听到很多不利的消息，但神的话语可以帮助我们在不可能的环境中经历神的同在，在不安的环境中有神的平安喜乐。历代志下20章所记录的关于约沙法王所经历也是我们所经历的，我们可以从中学习他如何在恐惶中得到神的平安。约沙法王面对多国同时来到犹大国边界想要攻打他们，他觉得惧怕（20:1-3a），然而，他的惧怕并非只是表面上遇到的这些问题，而是他知道自己曾与邪恶的以色列王亚哈结亲，想要倚靠这个亲家的势力，于是神让先知耶户对约沙法说：“你岂当帮助恶人，爱那恨恶耶和华的人呢？因此耶和华的愤怒临到你”（代下18:1,19:2）。约沙法王知道自己没有走在神的祝福和保守中，没有单单倚靠耶和华，所以在危机中他害怕了。
- 自卑寻求神
约沙法王知道自己生命有问题，他所遇到的这些外来的攻击都是因为过去得罪神。然而，他在害怕中没有选择放弃，而是选择自卑寻求神（20:3）。他不仅是自己自卑寻求神，也呼召全国的人一起禁食，因为上面的人若不正，下面的人生命就会有问题。 约沙法王想起神曾经说过：“这称为我名下的子民，若是自卑，祷告，寻求我的面，转离他们的恶行，我必从天上垂听，赦免他们的罪，医治他们的地”（代下7:14），因此，他知道神神就是信实的，不会丢下他，所以他愿意认罪悔改，选择自卑寻求神。我们在遇到困难、攻击的时候，不要只想着怎样把问题解决。我们首先要察验自己的生命，自卑寻求神。 - 不要害怕
神提醒约沙法王和犹大人，不要因为眼前看到的事情而害怕，“因为胜败不在乎你们，乃在乎神”（20:15）。很多时候我们遇到困境就失去平安，于是想用世界的方法来解决事情，但是神提醒我们，不是因为我们多厉害就可以得胜，而是胜败在乎耶和华。神提醒当时的犹大人，因为当人害怕时很容易失去对神的倚靠。我们要明白，我们能够走到如今，都是神的保守带领。当我们因为害怕而没有与神连接时，我们就失去从神而来的力量和神帮助。我们是否因为害怕而手忙脚乱？我们用自己的方法、资源，结果可能筋疲力尽、甚至引发另一个问题。若要反败为胜，就不要害怕。 - 只要相信
当我们担心害怕时，我们就没法相信甚至记起神的话，也没有办法相信神的仆人所说的话。我们会质疑，如果神的话有用，为什么我们还会遇到问题？其实不是神的话或者权柄的话“没有用”，而是因为我们的生命。当我们很紧张面对问题时，我们害怕，就没有办法去听、去相信，于是将所有事情都怪责神和权柄，只依靠自己和世界的方法。神知道我们的的软弱，于是对我们说话。神不是借着先知而是罪人约沙法对犹大国说话。约沙法身为一个领导，因自己的问题给国家带来问题，然而他回转了，自卑祷告，寻求神的面，神就按着他的应许赦免他的罪、医治他的地（代下7:14）。我们面对犯了错的人会质疑他们怎么还有脸继续说话，但是神国度的法则不一样，只要我们愿意谦卑求神饶恕，神就与我们同在。神仍然使用约沙法，让约沙法跟他所爱的犹大国说话。我们是否因为自己软弱犯错而自我控诉、被世界控诉？是否因此选择逃避、离开神给我们的命定？我们要紧紧抓住神给我们的位份，定睛于神。圣灵来是要我们为罪为义为审判自己责备自己。我们责备自己时不但在神面前承认，还要在人的面前认错。我们可能会怕跟人认错就会抬不起头，但神让我们谦卑，我们要愿意承认自己的软弱，是神的帮助我们才能走到如今。我们要愿意将自己的低点拿出来，让人看到神怎样在我们的软弱中扶持我们走到如今。只要相信神，就必立稳，信他的先知就必亨通（代下20:20）。我们要相信权柄的话，因为世上没有一个权柄不是从神而来。 - 只要赞美
要反败为胜，最难的就是“只要赞美”。历代志下20:21说，“约沙法既与民商议了，就设立歌唱的人颂赞耶和华，使他们穿上圣洁的礼服，走在军前赞美耶和华，说：’当称谢耶和华，因他的慈爱永远长存！‘”约沙法王用自己的生命来影响下面的民，让他们从原本的害怕中起来赞美耶和华，他们使所设立的赞美神的人先披上圣洁的外袍。我们来赞美神时，不要以为空喊要赞美神的口号、自己唱首歌心情就好了，不要忘记，罪使我们与神隔绝，所以在赞美神前要先穿上圣洁的外袍。当我们不平安或忧伤时，不要将我们的手指指向别人，而是先来察验自己的生命，让我们从迷茫中看到神，从黑暗中走向光明。我们在伤心难过、没有办法赞美神的时候，是否愿意先鉴察自己、看到自己的问题？不要让罪成为我们与神之间的阻隔，而是披上圣洁的外袍，我们就能在耶和华的军队前赞美耶和华。当众人赞美神的时候，耶和华就派伏兵将攻打犹大国的人一一打败（代下20:22）。
神是赐平安的神，我们遇到问题时，要先自省，要思想自己如今为何落到如此光景；也不要因害怕而自乱阵脚，只要相信，胜败乃在乎耶和华，并披上圣洁的外袍，在我们一切的困难面前不断赞美神，神最终会让我们反败为胜。
