Rev. Daniel Poon
In today’s sermon Rev. Daniel gave us some thought-provoking issues to ponder on. We all come to God for different reasons. We have been too used to giving God our wish list and hoping that He will answer every single item. Indeed our Heaven Father does bless us with things more than we could imagine. However, have you ever thought to yourself, “for what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?” (Luke 9:25)
You may ask, “So what is beneficial to us?” We are too busy chasing after the things that the world values and Satan wants us to get lost, but Jesus wants us to repent and gain a new life. If you just want to enjoy your Christian life and do not want to walk out of your comfort zone, you may never be able to experience the next level of blessing. God does not bring us here to keep all his blessings to ourselves, but we need to ask Him to train us and use us, so we can do what Jesus tells us to do.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33, [NIV])
